Hooka Medics[]

Hooka medics is a modification of the hooka strategy that swaps out a boat of zookas for a boat of medics. Hooka medics is not a combination that should be played except in very special circumstances. It is not bad combination. You may be using it effectively right now. The problem with it is that it is inferior to straight hookas. Both the hooka strategy and the hooka medic strategy put a durable troop with low damage in front of a fragile troop with high damage. When this strategy is employed correctly the zookas do not take damage until the heavies are dead. So lets do some math. We will compare 4/4 heavy/zooka with 3/4/1 heavy/zooka/medic. Maxed out 4 boats of heavies gives you a zooka shield of 111,864 HP. With the hooka medics you have only three boats of heavies for 83,898 HP, but your medics are going to heal them. With maxed out medics a boat of medics will heal 155 HP per second. So, assuming constant healing after 60 seconds your medics will have healed 9,300 HP. That puts your heavy shield for a one minute long attack at 93,198, after 2 minutes it is at 102,498, at 3 minutes you are at 111,798. So, there you have it unless your attacks hooka medic attacks are often taking more than 3 minutes (unlikely) you would have a stronger meat shield if you replaced that boat of medics with a boat of heavies (additionally heavies do some small amount of damage where medics do zero damage). The one caveat to this analysis is that it is also possible that the medics can heal the zookas, but in the hooka style of play the zookas generally should not be taking damage. If you find that you like how the medics can heal the zookas, I would suggest spending some time improving your flaring technique and strategy.
